Oh yes it is 2009 and it is going to be a sweeeeeeet year, I can feel it can't you? The first update of the year contains a lot of fixes, we had some small bugs here and there due to the fast development pace in the fall.
We also added two user requested features; A Pencil tool and "new image from clipboard". New image from clipboard really speeds your work up when cutting from different images.
Oh and we also added a new filter called Pastel, it is a bit slow at the moment but still it makes cool looking images =). Also added constrain on the free transform by holding down shift.
Right now we are working on Levels (Ready very soon) and Curves in the long run.
Don't forget to download the Firefox plug-ins on the first page, they really makes getting images and screen grabs easy!
Did you know that the emirate of Dubai is using its own copy of pixlr editor ;)
Keep it real!

Does flash allows images to be "imported" from the OS's clipboard?
With paintshop pro, what I do is:
1. Using firefox, I select "copy image"
2. In Paintshop pro, I simply press "shift insert" and the photo appears, it creates new window with the picture from the clipboard.
I just tried pixlr and I tried to do the same as I did with paintshop pro, but the "paste" pastes nothing from the clipboard (a picture which I used "copy image") in firefox.
Is it possible that pixlr will support the same feature as paintshop pro please?
Hertz,
Sorry but due to flash security restriction there is no way of accessing
the "global" clipboard. We are going to add that feature to our Firefox
extension but then you have to use the extension.
If it's the copy image from web page you want then you can try our Firefox
extension (Link on the first page of http://pixlr.com) and you will get a "Edit
in pixlr" if you right click any image on the web.
