Whats next - Take 3

For you guys who have been around for a while (60% returning visitors!) this is not new :)

Again we would like to hear what you like to be next and you know we listen, ALOT of the stuff that are requested are implemented in the editor in a fast pace.

Even if someone else just said it - go ahead and make your voice heard as well. The stuff most commented will be higher on the list!

Thanks!
Ola

Implement pen tool!

i use pixlr a lot , but there 's no circle selection tool

More support for PSD and layered PNG(Fireworks) files would be freakin sweet but I won't hold my breath, I'm sure this is no simple Task.

Also a pen tool would be handy :)

Agree. Circle selection and pen tool would be great! some more filter effects maybe and larger brush possibility to make your own brushes and patterns. But it´s really nice like it is. It´s very fast and handy. Love it!

+1 for pen/paths tool. Also, better resizing would be nice. These are pretty much the only reasons I use GIMP alongside Pixlr.

I would like to have pressure sensitivity on the brushes - that way I could be sketching in pixlr even though it might take a bit to beat Alias Sketch, but hey, in a pinch it would work ... ohh, wishes!

I'd like to see some kind of removable grid to be able to draw straight lines & rectangles that line up correctly.

Thanks for this big effort.

Pressure sensitivity for the brush tool. That would, for me, make the difference between "hm, interesting" and "woah, awesome!"

A good, well-rounded pixel-manipulationg application isn't just about editing images, but also creating them!

Pressure! Wacom released plugins for browsers, maybe you can use them with pixlr

More shortcuts from Photoshop eg. these with moving selections with control / alt or both

Reading folders from new versions of PSD files.

Mario said...

eg. shift + bakcspace to fill selection with current color
or using ALT for switching temporary from any tool to color picker

Can you make better antialiasing for texts?

Amazing app! It runs great even on my really old laptop. =)

I would like some more tools for working with masks and selections. Masks are one of the most common things I work with in Photoshop, regardless of what I do.

I can't open PSD Files with Smart Objects. A fix would be sweet. I don't expect to edit Smart Objects or something. Just open the PSD files would be enough :)

Been around only for a short try.

Very nice! Little bit lagging, but I have so many windows/tabs open so have to try again with everything else closed on my 2004 computer.

What I missed most: unsharp mask -tool. Plain sharpening is not sensitive enough to do it.

Also would like to have "rotate selection" when I'm using the crop -tool. Easy way to straighten horizons.

Definitely bookmarked pixlr even now!

Some more blending modes such as soft light or colour would be great to make GIMP/Photoshop tutorials more translatable and also just for general use.

Love pixlr use it all the time

You really, really need a gaussian blur or similar. How do I do my 30px blur + overlay mode trick without it?

Anonymous said...

first of all, i looove pixlr! it's the best online editor, count picnik out. :) i'd like some ready-to-use bokeh backgrounds. Gaussian would also do! Thanks. :D

Google Apps integration.

I'd like to be able to install Pixlr into my Google Apps account and edit images I have saved in my Google Apps' Google Docs. (and then save them back to my Google Apps' Google Docs).

Thanks.

Just wanted to let you know that this tool is awesome.

For my use, I don't really need anything more, just make sure the UI doesn't get too crowded :)

Steffan said...

Apologies if this is already possible and I'm too stupid to find it, but grid overlay and guides would be amazing, the lack of those is pretty much the only thing that stops me migrating fully to your awesome web app

Oh, and as someone else has already mentioned google app intergration (just to open and save files) would be amazing...

Please make a pen/paths tool! It'd be much appreciated. :)

is liquify possible in pixlr

I think you should make the blur tool better. More like the blur tool in Pixelmator or the Water Tool in Paint Tool Sai, make it possible to rotate the canvas (using a key on the keyboard), tablet compatibility and pressure sensitivity, something like a paths tool and a better smudge tool. Please reply to me and consider these ideas.
