Pixlr Express Collage

I'm happy to say that I just uploaded a new version of express and with that update we added Collage.

Collage is one of the most requested features so I'm looking forward to see what you think of it.

Start creating new collage by clicking on the collage tile. (Pixlr Express)

This will bring up the default layout and the different settings can be seen the bottom.

Add images to your collage by clicking on the "Plus" button that hovers over the active tile. (Move your mouse over a square).

You can either select a single image or multi-select with your mouse (Hold down shift/cmd/ctrl).

You can move the image in the cell to show the part you prefer, you can also rearrange the images just by dragging and dropping them from one cell to another.

When you hover over an image there will be three controls visible in the top right corner.

Click replace to find a new image.

Edit will pull the image into edit mode, there you can rotate, crop, add effects and all the other things you find in the editor.

To remove the image just click the X.

In the settings panel you find different layouts, spacing, roundness, proportions and background color.

This is just the first release of Collage, I have more features in store for future releases so let us know what you think :)

Over and out!

Thank You for great service. I translated this post to Russian - i tell about Pixlr to my friends and colleagues, and not everybody of them knows English. Of course, there's link to original post. Won't you mind?

Thank You one more time!

Fantastic, I've used it already! Would love to see a facility to add text over whole collage without leaving screen.

Thanks

You guys are awesome!
That's just what I needed... Even considering a collage like something very basic it's not that simple to do using common softwares...

Really great. Please add option to zoom in on part of photo from the template.

cipnthAwesome and faster than PS!

Feedback is to be able to go back without having to start all over again when you have reached almost to finishing. But 'am sure you have this under control.

Really impressed!

Ola, where you took the photo of a girl pushing a Russian car VAZ-2104?

I'm also having problems with adding photos. All I get is blank collage. Is there something I am missing?

This is great! Can't wait to put it to use! I too would like to see the option to put text over the collage but i would also like it if the photos could come from a URL. Is that option in the works?

Ola, i just want to say that pixlr is awesome! Because of your new collage feature, I was able to do some cute blog headers! I know it might not be this feature's main purpose but making blog headers from this, is just so simple with an awesome outcome! Thanks again guys! I am spreading the word to all my fellow bloggers. :-)

thank you thank you thank you! Ever since Picnik went away I have been looking for a quick and easy alternative to make collages for my blog! You have saved me so much work :) Cheers!

It would be great to have this available on photobucket - I cannot create collages using the advanced editor - obviously too advanced for me! This would be ideal!

Absolutely awesome! Have really LOVED using the collage feature today!

I LOVE IT - it's fun, easy and looks great. Well done! If you want to make it even better, it would be great if it was possible to work with just one picture - but still be able to use all the effects, texts and stuff.

Me gusta su editor de fotos . Porque no lo sacan para la PC algo asi como Snapseed o camarabag2 seria una buena idea , claro que hay que mejorar algunas cosa en edicion

Anonymous said...

Hi can you allow users to save the collage in its original size? That would make this perfect.

I have an image(in jpeg format) that I want to put text in a different language than English (your text format does not support it)on the bottom of that image.

If I create the new text as another jpeg file, how can I put it on the bottom of the image. I tried, but it is not working. Please email to raziye999@yahoo.com

The collage feature has not been working ever since I first stumbled upon pixlr. That's months ago now.
It looks like other people have the same problem.

Dear pixlr,
please fix this! I am using firefox and chrome. Thanks.

easy alternative to make collages for my blog! You have saved me so much

I just discovered this and it's the best collage maker I have found so far. My only suggestion for improvement would be the resizing of an image within a square in the collage. Or have I missed that somehow. Some of the photos I would like to zoomed in more, but can't figure out a way to do that. Thanks.

I've been using the full version of Pixlr for some time and tried Express for the first time today because my friend wanted to make some collages.. Express is really great! only one problem. Everything is not made for web, so please include some standard proportions for printing photos. I can guess the approximate size, but standard proportions would be much better. They're not really any good for gifts if they dont fit in standard photo frames ;)

Thank You adding and upgrading services. It is easy to edit pictuers.

Oh joy a replacement for Picnik! I am loving the simplicity and smoothness of this program however I do wish there was an edit function. Staring all over again is ridiculous. For small things like my blog it's awesome and I don't sweat it. But I am trying to make a small poster and having to start from scratch for every edit is very ponderous. Even just to try different colors after you've left the color editor. Being able to double click a cell to edit would be awesome.
