5 Fabulous Father’s Day Social Media Post Ideas

Need a unique Father’s Day present but can’t go shopping this year? Stay safe and personalize one of these thoughtful and witty Father’s Day card ideas.

Many fathers work exceptionally hard to provide for their family, going above and beyond to ensure that they have everything they need. Father’s Day is the ideal time to show dad how much you appreciate him, and one of the best ways to make him happy is to give him something special and unique that speaks to your relationship.

If you’re not sure where or how to begin, you’ve come to the right place!

1. Use The Right Color Palette

A Father’s Day card is intended to bring happiness and gratitude. What better way than to create a bright, colorful design? Positive feelings are associated with light colors in terms of color psychology.

For example, the template below uses a striking bold font with a background image of a father and his son. The composition stands out because of the muted color palette used – a harmonious blend of soft, blue hues.

2. Create A Collage of Memories

Sometimes, the best memories are candid moments, uncontrollable laughter and imperfect poses. You can take this opportunity to compile all the best photos you have with your father – from old childhood photos to recent family selfies – and turn them into a collage

All you need to do is pick your preferred collage template and add in your images. You can choose a filter/preset from the effect library to ensure all your images are visually cohesive and consistent. To make your collage even more personalized, you can add different shapes, stickers or even text effects (see below).

3. Use Beautiful Illustrations

If you’re not keen on using personal photos to create collages, you can always opt for beautiful illustrations

With our huge library of royalty free stock vectors, you can definitely find what you’re looking for. There are plenty of seamless wallpapers with fun Father’s Day icons and ready-made cards showcasing fathers of different ethnicities.

You can always mix and match these different graphics, put them together in a collage, and lastly add some text (see below).

4. Add Some Fancy Typography

We all know that images speak louder than words, but nothing screams good design louder than typography as it creates a balance between graphics and text.

If you’re going for a vintage but minimal aesthetic, you can always add funky lettering art (see below) to your greeting card. To complement the lettering, you can include some simple line art or illustration.

5. Crack Some Dad Jokes

No one appreciates dad jokes more than dads! So, this Father’s Day, put together the best jokes your dad has ever told you and combine them with some of the most memorable moments captured on camera to create your very own Dad Joke card!

But if you can’t recall any of your dad’s favorite jokes, do not fret because we have some that will still tickle his laughter buds:

  • What did the buffalo say when his son left? Bison.
  • What do you call a person with no body and no nose? Nobody knows.
  • What do you call a cheese that isn’t yours? Nacho cheese.
  • Why do dogs float on water? Because they are good buoys.
  • What do you call a fake noodle? Impasta.
  • Do you want to hear a joke about construction? I’m still working on it.
  • When does a joke become a dad joke? When it becomes apparent.

Father’s Day is so much more than a Hallmark holiday, it’s a day to celebrate all that he has done for you, it’s a day to show him how much he means to you.
