As we integrate the Pixlr mobile app into the broader Pixlr ecosystem, we want to keep you informed about what’s changing, why it’s happening, and how it benefits you. We understand that changes can sometimes be met with hesitation, so we’re here to guide you through this transition smoothly.
Integration into the Pixlr Ecosystem
The Pixlr app will soon be part of the main Pixlr ecosystem. This integration means that registered users will now enjoy access to all Pixlr products, like Pixlr Editor, FaceFlip and AI Image Generator, creating a more seamless and connected experience. Current subscribers will have their subscriptions transferred to the Pixlr ecosystem, ensuring you continue to enjoy the benefits you love, with added perks.
Redesigned User Interface
Our team has been hard at work redesigning the app’s user interface to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. The home screen will still have all the features you’re familiar with, but now it will also include exciting AI features, your app projects and a templates feed. This redesign is aimed at enhancing your creative process and making it easier to find the tools and inspiration you need.
Powerful AI Features
We are introducing several AI-powered features to elevate your editing capabilities:
- AI Generative Fill: Automatically fill in parts of your image with AI-generated content.
- AI Remove Object: Effortlessly remove unwanted objects from your photos.
- AI Remove Background: Quickly isolate subjects by removing backgrounds.
- AI Face Swaps: Create fun and realistic face swaps with the power of AI.
These AI features will initially be available with the upcoming update, and we plan to continuously add more AI tools from our web app to the mobile experience.
Updated Elements and Fonts
One of the most requested updates is finally here! The elements and fonts in the Pixlr app will be updated to match those available on the web app and will now be updated continously. This means you’ll have access to a refreshed library of elements and fonts, ensuring your projects stay current and seasonal.
Timeline for the Update
iOS Users: Expect the update in early to mid July.
Android Users: The update will roll out a few weeks later.
Subscription Impact
Your current Pixlr Mobile Premium subscription will be upgraded at no additional cost to the new Plus subscription within the Pixlr ecosystem. The Plus subscription not only retains all the benefits you currently enjoy but also includes 80 AI credits per month (or 960 per year for annual subscribers).
Additionally, as a Pixlr Mobile App premium subscriber, you’ll have the opportunity to upgrade to a Pixlr Ecosystem Premium Subscription at a 50% discount. Specific Information regarding offers will be sent out at a later date.
Understanding AI Credits
AI features utilize external server processing, which incurs a cost for us. To make these powerful tools available to all users, we operate on a credit system. Subscribers receive credits on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, or yearly), depending on their subscription plan.
For non-subscribers and users who run out of credits, there are two more options for gaining access to these features.
1. By buying standalone Credit Bundles ranging from 200 to 5000 Credits.
2. By viewing Rewarded Video Ads. Viewing one of these ads, lasting 30 to 45 seconds, enables completion of the initated AI generation.
